Follow up with people you met

This is a great way to keep track of the people you met and to follow up with them. You can use a simple note-taking app or a spreadsheet, or even your CRM.

Either ask them if they would like to meet again, or just say thank you for the insights you got. Or, you can even be their wingperson, introducing them to somebody else in your network.

Pssst. Hot tip: Make sure to write the event name in the message - then you can find what people you've met easier afterwards.

    Jog your memory

This is a great way to get your brain working and making sure you don't forget about the cool person you met, or the interesting insight you got through a panel.

Go through the images you took, folders you were given, notes you wrote, and the schedule for the day. You'll be surprised how much you remember - but also don't.

    Document your event insights

How can you bottle that post-event clarity? Write down your biggest learnings on the actual event setup.

What felt exciting? What drained you? What was good, and what could have been better? Would you attend this event again? Why or why not?

    Don't forget to share!

What if your event learnings could help others too? Write a LinkedIn post or thread summarizing your biggest takeaways, or even hold a presentation for your company.

If you're writing a post, tag speakers or fellow attendees - it helps strengthen the connection.

This also builds your personal brand while reinforcing your learning.

    Psst. One last thing

Don’t forget the people you met (or wanted to meet but didn't) in crewcial. Log in to revisit the people at the event, and remember, it's not wrong to reach out post-event.

After all, your next big opportunity might already be in your network.
